Rachel was so welcoming and a brilliant host offering recommendations and friendly conversation. It was a pleasure to stay. Also she made some incredible banana bread!

Rachael was extremely helpful especially in accommodating our dietary requirements. Rooms were really comfortable and the food was excellent. Really knowledgeable about the area and advised on things to do. Really felt like a home from home - with all the extras!

Our stay at Cortana Lodge was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast was delicious and served with great care and hospitality.

What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
Corthna Lodge is beautifully maintained with extensive grounds all tastefully laid out, and includes a sauna and hot tub from where you can enjoy the amazing views of the mountains all around. It's a short walk into Schull for dinner and drinks where there is a range of lovely places to choose from. The owner, Rachel is very friendly and gave us advice on hiking routes in the area, which was really helpful. Breakfast is great and there's an honesty bar for a night cap before bed, if that takes your fancy.

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was just right for us.

We had a really lovely stay with you, thank you for everything you did to make our stay extra comfortable, not to mention your delicious caramelized apple gateau! We will come back for sure!

Very comfotable rooms and guest areas. Thoughtful accommodation, fabulous breakfast choice, including tasty vegan options, beautiful gounds. We would recommend staying a few nights.

Beautiful property in a quiet location in beautiful West Cork. Rachel is just wonderful and goes the extra mile to make one’s stay warm and welcoming.

Corthna Lodge is a real gem in a super location walking distance from Schull. The rooms are a generous size and very comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic and will keep you going until dinner - great that all of the produce is sourced locally. Rachel is lovely and happy to share local haunts and hidden gems. We intend to return for a much longer stay and use Corthna Lodge as a base for a deeper dive into the surrounding area. The only disappointment was we had to leave!!

A fabulous and welcoming stopover on the Wild Atlantic Way route. Absolutely lovely hostess where nothing was too much trouble, also a very high accolade indeed regarding the bed and linen, oh so comfortable, top notch. Plus a super power shower. and what can we say about the breakfast, absolutely first rate, a very good yummy in the tummy. Very highly recommend indeed staying here.

Everything about this place is perfect. Great location, beautiful local scenery and great amenities. The lodge is so comfortable and inviting with such a tranquil vibe. Super hospitality and a great breakfast. Rachael gave us some great advice on places to see in the area. Over all it’s the perfect place to stay to enhance your West Cork experience. We loved it.
